The Fallout games take place in an alternate universe. The VATS (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) will also return in FO4.
Players will have the option to craft equipment, with various recipes that utilize ever lootable item in the game, build bases (a new feature this time around), and can expect to encounter the usual host of enemies, including raiders, super mutants, deathclaws, and ghouls. The creators of Fallout 4 have stated that the game contains 111,000 lines of dialog, or more than FO3 and Skyrim combined.
The Northeast is a new area for Fallout - previous games have explored the West Coast, the area around Las Vegas, Nevada, and the East Coast near Washington DC (including Pittsburgh). It’s a new location, and a huge worldįallout 4 focuses on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, one of 13 Commonwealths known to have existed as part of the United States.
